OHS Implementation and Operation

Teknokon Makina has established a follow-up systematic to ensure the feasibility of the plans, procedures and operations.
 
In order any work to be done in the workplace to be understood by all concerned employees and to eliminate any possible risks beforehand, relevant trainings are organized and the work permit mechanisms are applied in the works that are considered as risk.

 
Specific Work Hazard Analysis
In addition to risk analysis for each potentially dangerous work types, Teknokon Makina conducts a project specific work hazard analysis when necessary.
 
Training Programs
Teknokon Makina recognizes that continuous training is an essential rule in parallel with the philosophy that every accident is preventable.
 
For this reason, every employee has an effective training throughout their career from the first day of employment. Training activities are planned and implemented not only in terms of OHS performance, but also for the purpose of establishment of a culture of occupational safety.

OHS Control and Monitoring

Teknokon Makina OHS performance is monitored through internationally accepted parameters. The OHS performance is regularly audited by the OHS department and the relevant organizations and the results of these audits are evaluated by both the fabrication plant management and the company management. The followiing periodic audits are conducted and reported:

Measurement, Analysis and Improvement

All kinds of internal and external audits, project data and training reports are analyzed in detail. It is an important part of our OHS Management System to prevent the repetition of any defects discovered as a result of these analyses. For this purpose, all accidents and incidents are investigated in detail in order to determine the root causes. Corrective and Preventive Actions resulting from these investigations are shared with the entire Teknokon Grup Organization in order to take the necessary measures. The Corrective Preventive Actions are also a part of the periodic Board of Directors report, which ensures the involvement of the top management.

It strives to fulfill its responsibilities to the highest level and works towards leaving a cleaner environment for future generations. Teknokon Makina İmalat ve Montaj A.Ş adheres to national or international laws, regulations, and customer requirements in all its facilities. It aims for continuous improvement and innovation, involving its employees in this process to achieve the highest quality production in the fastest and safest working environment. The Occupational Health and Safety efforts are embraced as the foundation of the Environmental Management System Policy.

With this purpose in mind, the company will establish an Occupational Health and Safety-Environmental Management System in accordance with relevant laws, ISO 45001 standards, and customer demands. It will implement, enforce, and continually improve this system, supporting it with ongoing enhancement efforts. This commitment extends to all employees, subcontractors, visitors, and customers, addressing their needs and complying with relevant laws and regulations.

Within the framework of this policy;
  1. Eliminating hazards arising from activities, determining and implementing protective parameters by reducing health and safety risks,
  2. Using appropriate technologies that cause minimal harm to the environment within the framework of technical and economic possibilities, reducing raw material usage to ensure conservation of natural resources,
  3. Organizing training activities for employees, all third parties, firms, and relevant stakeholders to effectively implement Occupational Health and Safety-Environmental Management System practices,
  4. Soliciting suggestions and opinions from employees during conducted trainings,
  5. Planning measurable objectives for continuous improvement, ensuring the assessment of whether the previous year’s objectives and efforts were achieved,
  6. Developing systems to enhance our environmental performance, ensuring continuous improvement and enhancement by fulfilling all legal requirements and customer demands related to Environmental and OHS practices,
  7. Maintaining continuous communication with suppliers and customers to minimize the environmental impact dimensions of produced goods and services,
  8. Minimizing waste resulting from production, transportation, storage, operation, treatment, and maintenance activities within the framework of the Zero Waste program, and contributing to the national economy through recycling and reutilization of generated waste,
  9. Communicating the Occupational Health and Safety-Environmental Management System Policy to all employees through training and announcements, ensuring its understanding by everyone and adherence to this policy, disseminating through the company’s website and other applications for easy access by other parties (public, government, subcontractors, and visitors),
  10. Embracing the importance of nature and environmental conservation activities and the principle of sustainability by resorting to renewable energy sources as much as possible to meet energy needs and prioritizing practices that enhance energy efficiency
